TIN DISTRICT
There’s a thriving artist quarter in West Dallas, known as the TIN District. This former industrial area now houses galleries, studios, and art spaces, attracting the best of Dallas’ contemporary artists as well as emerging talent.
Street art and graffiti are prevalent in the TIN District, where virtually no surface is left untouched. This area showcases some of the most impressive spray paint murals around. The constantly changing nature of the art form means there's sure to be something striking and new with each visit.
West Dallas’ contemporary artists’ quarter is situated three blocks from Trinity Groves restaurants & retail, tucked behind the Cypress urban community. Each year The WEST DALLAS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE hosts a lively Open Studios event ‘ART WALK WEST’ alongside the WILD WEST MURAL FEST. renowned as the busiest and most exciting event on the arts calendar annually!
With a variety of self-contained spaces as well as semi-open places shared by groups of artists, there’s a strong community atmosphere that has evolved organically in response to artists’ changing needs.
Studios come in a wide range of sizes and are suitable for a wide range of different practices.
