There’s a thriving artist quarter in West Dallas, known as the TIN District. This former industrial area houses galleries, creative spaces and studios of many of Dallas’ contemporary artists.
Street art and graffiti are prevalent in the TIN District, where virtually no surface is left untouched. This area showcases some of the most impressive spray paint murals in the city. The constantly changing nature of the art form means there's sure to be something striking and new with each visit.
West Dallas’ contemporary artists’ quarter is situated three blocks from Trinity Groves restaurants & retail, tucked behind the Cypress urban community. Every fall, the West Chamber Dallas of Commerce hosts an Open Studios event called ‘Art Walk West’ alongside Wild West Mural Fest.
With a variety of self-contained spaces as well as semi-open places shared by groups of artists, there’s a strong community atmosphere that has evolved organically in response to artists’ changing needs.
Studios come in a wide range of sizes and are suitable for a wide range of different practices. If you are a creative practitioner or an arts organization looking for space, new applicants are welcomed for artists, designers, and/or makers interested in applying for one of our creative workspaces.
