A Collective of Creatives in Dallas
The Tin District is a thriving artist quarter in West Dallas. This former industrial area is home to art studios, galleries, and creative spaces that serve many of Dallas’ contemporary artists.
Situated just three blocks from the restaurants and energy of Trinity Groves, the Tin District is home to four galleries and more than 80 working artist studios. Artists open their studio doors during ArtWalk West, an event presented by the West Dallas Chamber of Commerce, celebrating the creative spirit of West Dallas.
Street art and graffiti are the pride of the Tin District. It begins in the Fabrication Yard, where artists can freely practice their technique. Here, you’ll find something new with every visit. Look for permanent murals by acclaimed artists on businesses throughout the neighborhood. At Wild West Mural Fest, new murals are debuted in one action-packed weekend.
The different art studio buildings, varying from single occupant to large shared spaces, have organically created a strong art community. Tin District artists have collaborated, exhibited together, and put in the work to present Art Walk West and other events. Together, these artists are shaping what it means to make art in the 21st century.
