The City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture's Arts Activate Program, in collaboration with The UT Dallas Harry W. Bass Jr. School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology, and the University of Dallas Office of Research and Innovation's HeArts Grant, proudly presents "Black-GPT: An Afro-Futurist Midjourney." This groundbreaking projection mapping event will take place on the north wall of Research Operations West and the Lawn, offering a unique and immersive artistic experience for the North Dallas community. "Black-GPT: An Afro-Futurist Midjourney" is an innovative event that combines the rich cultural heritage of Afro-futurism with the latest advancements in artificial intelligence. The project is led by multi-disciplinary artist Andrew F. Scott, whose work in media, along with student contributions from his graduate seminar on AI artistic studio practice, has inspired the artistic contributions for this transformative evening. The event will feature long and short-form videos projected onto the north wall of Research Operations West, creating an engaging and dynamic public art installation. This free event aims to unite students, residents, and local businesses from Dallas, Richardson, and Plano, fostering an inclusive and vibrant community atmosphere.
